Get in Touch

Reaching out is often the hardest part. Most parents I talk to have been thinking about it for months — turning it over, wondering whether things are “bad enough” to warrant help, wondering whether it will sound like they're complaining about their own child.

You don't need to have any of it sorted out before you get in touch. You don't need a diagnosis, a list, or the right words for what's been happening. That's what the first conversation is for.

Book a risk-free first session

The most direct way to start. A full session over Zoom — and if you decide afterward not to continue, there's no charge.

What Happens After You Reach Out

No sales call, no intake packet, no waiting list.

  1. You book a first session

Pick a time that works on my calendar. You don't need to write out your situation in advance or have anything figured out — we'll get to all of it together.

  2. We meet on Zoom

We'll talk through what's actually happening in your home — the hard moments, what you've already tried, what you're most worried about. You'll leave with a clearer picture of what's driving the behavior and something concrete to try.

  3. You decide whether to continue

If it's a fit, we continue into the six-session framework. If it isn't, there's no charge for that first session and no hard feelings. I don't charge for the full package until after the second session.

Who I Work With

I work with parents of deeply feeling, highly sensitive, and sometimes explosive children — primarily ages 4 to 8. If your child is 9 or 10, please still reach out; I sometimes work with families in that range, though change often takes a little longer than six weeks.

I want to be straightforward about the limits of this work. Parent coaching is not therapy, and it isn't a substitute for mental health care when that's what a family needs. If your child is engaging in self-harm or expressing suicidal thoughts, I'd encourage you to work with a professional who has specialized training in those areas — and I'm glad to talk it through if you're not sure what you're looking at.

You can read more about my background and training, what the six-session framework covers, or what other families have said about working together.

Where I'm Based

I'm based in Durham, North Carolina, and work with families across the Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh area — as well as parents well beyond it.

All sessions are held virtually over Zoom, so where you live doesn't need to be a constraint. I'm in the Eastern time zone and have worked with families from Washington state to Germany.

Quick Answers

What does it mean that I can try before I commit?

I don't charge for the set of six until after the second session. After the first session, if I'm not a fit for your family, you will not be charged at all. There is no financial risk in booking an initial session.

Is coaching virtual?

Yes - all sessions are held on Zoom. I'm based in North Carolina in Eastern Time Zone but can accommodate online parent coaching worldwide. I've served clients from Washington to Germany!

What ages do you work with?

I primarily work with parents of children ages 4–8, as this is the age range where my coaching approach is most effective and where families typically see meaningful shifts within about six weeks.

If your child is 9 or 10, please feel free to book an initial session. I sometimes work with families in this age range, but significant improvements often take a bit longer than the six-week timeframe. I'd be happy to learn more about your family's situation and discuss whether my work is a good fit. If your child is engaging in self-harm or expressing suicidal thoughts, I recommend working with a professional who has specialized training in those areas.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, as a coach, I am not allowed to accept insurance.
